Terms & Conditions

 

 

This is our second home and hence we have certain terms & conditions of rental which we expect you to abide by

 

 

1. A £100 security/damage deposit is extra to your rental fee and is required for each booking which will secure your holiday. Due to a large amount of enquiries your deposits MUST reach us within 48hrs of receiving your booking. If you are booking 8 weeks prior to your holiday stay, the full amount must be paid within 7 days.

 

Bookings are from 2pm on arrival date to 10am on the day of departure.

 

 

 

 

2A. General Bookings -  (Outside of school holidays) On receiving your payment of deposit, a provisional booking confirmation will be issued by email. This will confirm your booking and show the remaining balance still to be paid.  The full amount must be sent to us within 7 days of booking.

 

 

2B. School Holiday Bookings - On receiving your payment of deposit, a provisional booking confirmation will be issued by email. This will confirm your booking and show the remaining balance still to be paid.  Half of the rental fee will be due immediately; the remaining half is to be paid 8 weeks before the start of your holiday.

 

No further reminder will be sent. Should your payment not reach us by the due date we reserve the right to re-let the caravan.

 

3. The £100 security/damage deposit is added to the holiday price not only to reserve your holiday but also to protect the condition of the caravan.  This is refunded to you after your holiday as long as the caravan has been left clean and tidy and there are no breakages or damages caused during your stay. If any damage is caused to the caravan, the £100 will be kept towards the cost. Any additional costs incurred due to damage or extra cleaning caused by yourself will be invoiced and payment due within 7 days of this invoice. Damage deposits will be refunded after 14 days following your stay. This bond is returned from us and not from Butlins itself. 

 

Sorry but we do not allow our guests to bring their pets.

 

4. No smoking within the caravan. Our caravan is used by small children and smoke fumes will remain in the furnishings and could damage their health. Your £100 cleaning/damage waiver fee will not be refunded if this has happened as it will pay towards the airing and extra cleaning cost of the caravan.

 

 

5. No all female or all male parties accepted (except by arrangement with us - eg waived if children/family included). No bookings will be accepted for young groups or young parties consisting of all male or all female parties (this is a Butlins rule). The hirer must be over the age of 25 unless agreed by prior arrangement with us.

 

 

6. If in the opinion of the site manager, any party is guilty of unreasonable conduct which causes a nuisance to other park guests, the owner or site manager may re-take possession of accommodation immediately without compensation to the party.

 

7. Only those named on the booking form will be granted access to the Butlins complex and are permitted to occupy the caravan.

 

Any breach of this condition shall entitle us to terminate the booking with no refund. The caravan is for 6 people only (8 by prior agreement). Due to insurance purposes anymore people that are not listed on the booking form will be breaking the rules. Once the completed booking form is received by us then no extra persons can be added, unless an amendment has been requested.  Please refer to point 15.

 

 

8. The lead person on the booking form shall be responsible for all members of the party. Please ensure that no items provided in the caravan are removed during or after your stay. You are responsible for all contents in the caravan during your stay and any breakages or damage to the furniture, fixtures, fittings, inventory or caravan, must be paid for by the lead name on the booking form. Please ensure that our holiday home is left clean, tidy and ready for the next guests.

 

9. We do not accept liability for any personal injury, loss or damage which may be sustained by the applicants or their party, during their holiday. You may wish to arrange your own holiday insurance.

 

 

10. Please respect our carpets, the £100 bond will be kept by us for the cleaning of them if heavily soiled. Please leave all outside shoes in the tall larder cupboard or on the mats just inside the door.

 

 

11. Cheques should be made payable to Ruth Haigh details given later after booking. We do accept payments by paypal but a small charge is made for this depending on break cost!

 

 

12. In the interest of preserving your damage deposit we advise that no pens, paints, felt tip pens be used by children inside the caravan. Damage caused by pens. felt pens etc will be charged for and not considered to be normal wear and tear.

 

 

13. Protecting the condition of caravan.  Any sandy or muddy shoes or toys should not be brought into the caravan. 
Please leave pushchairs outside or in your car. 

 

14. Please make sure you check the contents list for anything that’s missing or damaged as soon as you arrive and inform us immediately. That way you won’t be held responsible for the cost.

 

15. Amendment Fee.  Should you wish to alter the names on the booking after your final booking confirmation has been issued a £10 fee will be charged.

 

 

16. If you have to cancel your holiday please in the first instance contact us by telephone then put your request in writing.

 

 

IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLATION, THE FOLLOWING CHARGES APPLY:

 17. We reserve the right to cancel and refund any booking made due to problems outside of our control.

 

 

18. Any complaints must be made immediately to the owner who will endeavour to rectify the problem as soon as possible, to ensure the continued enjoyment of your holiday. The complaint must be confirmed in writing within seven days of the end date of the Hirer's holiday

 

 

19. This is Butlin's policy regarding children for adult themed weekends and breaks:

 

Children are welcome at the resort but for their own interests will not be allowed in to the entertainment venues or the Skyline Pavillion. They can usually go to the Sun and Moon and Highwayman pubs with an adult. They CAN go into the Splash Pool, Funfair when open, cinema, pizza hut. Please contact Butlins yourself to confirm before booking if you plan to take children with you on an adult weekend.

 

 

20. It is your responsibility to check with Butlins as to what facilities will be open during your stay. Our duty is limited to providing you with accommodation within our caravan and we take no responsibility for the provision of services and entertainment provided by Butlins.  

 

The Hirer is responsible for the property and is expected to take good care of it. All equipment and utensils etc, and the property itself are to be left clean and tidy at the end of the stay. All damages / breakages should be reported as soon as they occur. The owners reserve the right to charge for any damage, breakages and extra cleaning which are not deemed to be normal wear and tear.

Please remember that this is also our holiday home too and is solely maintained by us!
